Image
Lots of asparagus recipe ideas to feed your asparagus addiction; happy Spring! I don't know if anyone notices the schedule on the blog like I do, but I've had a couple of unplanned days off from both my blogs due to a bout with food poisoning that was definitely not fun.  I got it from a restaurant, and my sister Pam and her baby grandson were also sick from our dinner together. So there hasn't been much cooking or blogging going on around here and I'm still not totally up to par, but it's nice to be back!  I don't feel much like cooking yet, so I thought I'd share some of my Favorite Asparagus Recipes ; some of these are things I make over and over every year, hope you enjoy! Everyone who's trying to make it through December without gaining ten pounds, raise your hand.  (Kalyn has both hands raised.)  Every year I think about the dilemma of joining in holiday celebrations without overdoing it on sweets and other rich holiday foods.  There's no easy answer,  but having something healthy to nibble on among the more indulgent choices can really help, and that's where this Greek Yogurt and Tahini Dip for Tomatoes and Cucumbers comes in. When I spotted a recipe for Tahini Dip in The South Beach Diet Parties and Holidays Cookbook I remembered how tomatoes and cucumbers are amazing paired with Greek yogurt and tahini, and when Jake and I tried out this combination we both loved it.  And it's festive-looking as well as delicious, hope you enjoy! Marathon de Sable ➯ Tomato juice Its about time for another quickie, a news quickie about exercise & supplementation, about vitamin D and tomato juice... actually its rather about tomato juice, a special carbohydrate + protein bar and the notorious "Gatorate(R)-ish" carbohydrate supplement every endurance athlete believes he must be taking.
