Out of all the Slow Cooker Recipes from 2013, these are my top ten picks! As we're counting down to the end of 2013, I've been sharing my picks for Top Ten Recipes in a few categories.  I've already shared my Top Ten Vegetarian Recipes of 2013 and Top Ten Meat, Poultry, and Fish Recipes of 2013 , and today I'm bringing you the Top Ten Slow Cooker Recipes of 2013 .  That's a lot of favorite recipes, and as I worked on each of these posts, I'd open up a recipe and think "I need to make that again!"   Hope you're enjoying the top ten lists as much as I am; still to come is Ten Favorite Phase One Recipes from Other Bloggers. Apples Top The List For Most PesticidesDirty Dozen And Clean Fifteen For 2014Are There Pesticides In Your Babys Food

Once again apples top the list as having the most pesticide residue in EWGs annual "Dirty Dozen" list. Follow Foods For Long Life on Facebook and Pinterest. Thanks EWG For the last ten years, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) has taken data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on pesticide residue and compiled a list of the most and least contaminated fruits and vegetables. I use this list to determine which produce should be purchased as organic and which conventionally grown produce is safe to eat. For example, I always buy organic apples, which often top the "Dirty Dozen" list and I rarely spend the extra money for avocados that top the "Clean Fifteen." The Dirty Dozen Plus The Dirty Dozen contain high concentrations of pesticides as well as a number of different pesticides. For example: * Every sample of imported nectarines and 99% of apple samples had pesticide residue. * Potatoes had more pesticides by weight than any other food. * A single ...
