Which one Low calorie diet or Protein diet

Image
An overweight woman looking to lose weight can get help from a professional. For Dr. David Elia *, the overweight woman must first lose weight and balance your diet to keep it off pounds. To his patients lose weight, the choice will be between reduced calorie diet and protein diet. Questions about his experience Which plan to choose? Dr. David Elia: We can not lose weight if you follow a balanced diet, which, by definition, brings many calories as one spends a day. This is a first misunderstanding that I often see in my consultations, "Doctor, I weigh 10 kg too few years and yet if you knew how I eat balanced." The strategy to lose weight is just to eat unbalanced, that is to say, to expend more calories than one absorbs. This imbalance can be achieved with a reduced calorie diet, where there are not enough calories over expenditure, or a protein diet. In contrast, balanced diet is the one that will follow once lost excess pounds. What do you think of the low calorie diet? Dr...

The Harmful Effects of Protein Diets

Image
Protein diet ( Duke Atkinson Protasova ) intended to limit fats and carbohydrates , and compliance with long-term , cause a number of problems with metabolism , kidney function , endocrine system and interfere with losing weight . Digestion of proteins requires the largest energy Long -fiber diet provokes constipation and halitosis . The predominance of proteins in the diet , especially against restrictions fiber-rich foods leads to intoxication (nausea , constipation, bad breath , acetone in the urine - the first manifestations of intoxication) . Digestion of protein does require enough energy . But as it happens in a healthy circuit? Carbohydrates contribute to the breakdown of proteins and fats . Fats are used as an additional source of energy and vitamins involved in the transfer . Proteins - the building material . When the protein diet , all the above functions are assigned exclusively to whites. Not being able to use the energy supplied by carbohydrates and fats , the b...

Protein Power Study Suggests 40 is Where True Magic Happens Plus If Protein is King Whey is the Emperor

Image
Its not just about more protein its about significantly more protein and - possibly - also about whey! Just to make sure: Yes, I know the study I am about to discuss in todays SuppVersity article is a rodent study - a rodent study by researchers from the University College Cork and the University College Dublin (Mc Allan. 2014).  And yes, I know that you aint no fury little mouse or rat... ... but I do also know that the beneficial metabolic effects of high protein intakes appear to be even more, not less pronounced in human beings and will thus not mention 500x that the assumption that wed see similar benefits in men and women would obviously require experimental confirmation... alright? Now that we are clear, dear non-dams and non-bucks... ... you are probably already drooling at the sought of reading yet another "high protein is good for you" study. Dont worry I am not going keep you on the tenderhooks longer than absolutely necessary. What is necessary, though is a ver...

Raw Nutiva Protein Powder Great For Smoothies!

Image
I like their environmentally friendly packaging option. A Great Addition for Smoothies Now that the weather is finally warming up, I start almost every day with a raw smoothie. For me, it becomes a chemistry experiment, adding a little flaxseed oil for omega 3, a little VitaMineral Green , fresh or frozen raw fruits, a handful of greens, some organic hemp or soymilk (or raw nut milk), topping it off with the contents of a calcium/magnesium capsule. I recently came across an organic, raw protein powder by Nutiva . They have two kinds. One is Hemp Protein with Fiber (with a profile of 37% protein, 43% fiber and 10% healthy fats including omega 3, 6 and 9). The other product is Hemp Protein 50% (with 50% protein, only 20% fiber and 11% fat). I find that by adding a few tablespoons of this protein to a smoothie, I’m pretty satisfied until lunchtime. It also is a perfect thickening agent and makes any smoothie thick and creamy. Hemp protein contains 66% edestin, a highly digestible bioacti...

No Reduction in Protein Synthesis W Concomitant Training Involving HIIT Training for Non Strength Trained Muscles

Image
The results of the study and hand strongly suggest, but dont finally prove that a brief leg-focused HIIT like spinning will not impair your biceps gains even if its done immediately before weight training. You will probably have read about the problem that doing endurance before or immediately after resistance training will blunt the protein synthetic response to exercise. In fact, I have written about this topic repeatedly. The latest article was published only two weeks ago ("How Much Cardio Messes W/ Your Weight Training Results Depends on Recovery Times: Cardio + Weights in One Session vs. AM + PM Training vs. Doing Each on One Day" | read more). Now, a recent study from the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences shows that the question whether "cardio" in the broadest sense will interfere with strength training gains cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. Are you looking for muscle builders for the year 2015? Find inspiration in these articles: Tri- ...

22g High EAA 6g Protein 36g CHO Pre Intra Workout Boost Fat Oxidation PWO Resting ! Energy Expenditure

Image
I dont doubt that you can do that, too! It does sound awkward: If you mix Twinlab: Amino Fuel (22 g protein - 6 g essential amino acids | L-phenylalanine: 633 mg; Lvaline: 781 mg; L-tryptophan: 133 mg; L-threonine: 679 mg; L-isoleucine: 565 mg; L-methionine: 292 mg, L-histidine: 282 mg; L-leucine: 1350 mg; L-lysine: 1449 mg) with a regular  sports recovery drink that contains 36g of simple sugar, down half of the resulting 800ml serving of whatever you want to call this mix immediately before your workout and consume the rest during the rest periods between sets, this will have measurable effects on your resting energy expenditure and fat oxidation. From long-term to short time effects At first, it does questionably sound counter-intuitive that the ingestion of an EAA + carbohydrate mixture before / during would increase the resting energy expenditure and rate of fatty acid oxidation after your workout. On the other hand, if you think about the long-term effects of correspondi...
